ASIAN APICULTURAL ASSOCIATION

I N V I T A T I O N

It is a pleasure and privilege for us to invite you to attend the Seventh Asian Apicultural Association Conference to be held in the Philippines on 23-27 February 2004. The conference theme is "Bees for New Asia".  The conference hopes to discuss and resolve issues in bee management, bring forth-new technologies and updates on bee biology, bee pests and diseases, bees and the environment, and other subjects of interest to the apiculture community, and enhance professional apiculture evaluation.  This falls under the general objective of further enhancing the growth and development of bee science and technology, within the context of an Asian Region that is poised to play the leading role in the global community of the 21st century.  Even as the first conference in Thailand ushered in a new era in bee science in Asia, the tremendous strides that have made since then should make this one a milestone, a coming of age, as it were, of both Asian apiculture and the Asian Apicultural Association.                  This international conference will bring together researchers, scientists, and project managers, extension specialists, developmental workers and entrepreneurs sharing common interest in bees at different perspectives.
