Members of the Philippine Australian Alumni Association (PA3i) spearhead this year’s activities of the Clean Up the World Weekend heldt at the D.L. Umali Freedom Park at the University of the Philippines Los Baños campus. Hundreds of volunteers trooped to the park and joined in collecting wastes littering the area, processed and segregated solid wastes collected. A team from the Integrated Recycling Industries-Philippines (IRI) were on hand to receive the collected electronic wastes such as old and unusable computer hardwares (monitor, central processing units, keyboards, etc.) which has to be disposed of properly to avoid any mishandling that may lead to accidents.
