Mt  Makiling

This  legendary mountain is home to over 2,000 species of flora and fauna.  Within its vicinity lies a mud spring, flat rocks and the mysterious  magnetic hill. There are also 3 garden resorts that offer not only  swimming pools and picnic grounds but also lush gardens. These are the  Pook ni Mariang Makiling, Boy Scouts Jamboree Camp and the Makiling  Botanic Gardens.

Hot  Springs Resorts

The town has more  than 15 resorts that offer a variety of attractions and facilities. Most  amenities include public and private pools, picnic grounds, airconditioned  rooms, conference halls and meeting rooms.

Museums

The Museum  of Natural History located within the UPLB College of Forestry exhibits  more than 200,000 biological collections of Philippine flora and fauna and  other biota. At the International Rice Research Institute, the Rice World  is a showcase of rice related information from plant species to cultural  tehcnologies.

Historical  Sites

Various  historical sites can be visited within Los Baņos. These are the Old  Pantalan which was built and used by the Americans before WW II, the  Yamashita-Homma Shrine, Japanese Internment Camp, the House of Paciano  Rizal and the Boy Scounts Jamboree Camp.

Several  institutions offer a glimpse of available scientific and modern  technologies related to agriculture and forestry; from wood processing,  rice, ornamental and animal production to cheese making

Home Grown  Products

Buco pie,  white cheese, ornamental plants and hand-made rice paper are the  specialties of the town
