Welcome to
Calamba

Going there

The bustling town of Calamba can be reached via the South Superhighway. Only about 54 kilometers from Manila, Calamba is just 30 minutes away from Alabang. In Alabang, buses going to Calamba are aplenty and are easily accessible. These buses may enter the province either through the Calamba-Los Baños exit or the Canlubang exit.

  • Business

Business and industries are alive in Calamba because of the launching of the CALABARZON project. Within the first year and a half after the launching of Project CALABARZON, industrial subdivisions started to rise in Cavite and Laguna. The Carmel Ray Industrial Park in Calamba has the largest area among the six industrial estates concentrated in Laguna.

Also, there are a number of cottage industries dealing on garment and handicrafts. These cottage industries work for large manufacturers and provide all production input while the parent company undertakes marketing.

Cutflower farms are also evident along the highway of Calamba. These include orchids and exotic plants like palms. Growers association holds regular garden shows and exhibits in different towns in Laguna and other places.
