Laguna is an inland province about 30 kilometers south of Metro Manila. It is bounded on the north by the province of Rizal, on the south by the Province of Quezon, on the west by the provinces of Batangas and Cavite, and on the east by the Sierra Madre Range. Narrow plains comprise Laguna's terrain. On the northwest side are elevated portions while on the southwest lies the legendary Mount Makiling.
