History

Pila, dubbed as "Bayang Pinagpala"(Blessed Town), has been blessed with hardworking people who, for centuries, have planted its fertile land and fished from the waters of Laguna de Bay. Lining the town's main avenue are numerous antique houses. Its municipal hall, built in 1931, is untouched by the destruction wrought by World War II.
